Lock down was a hard time for all. After completed 12 years togetherness, I feel this was the first time we were spending more time together. Working, cooking, taking care of son, each and every minute we are together. Then I remember about his gift which he presented to me 12 years back. After our engagement he gave this book "WHY MEN DON'T LISTEN WOMEN CAN'T READ MAPS" to me. Once again I went through it. It was one of the best seller that time. As the ecommerce industry was not so popular then, he arranged a photostat copy of the same for me. 

This book contains all the answers that you need about the opposite sex. Barbara and Allen (the authors) spent more than three years around the world in travelling. They studied about the behavior of both the sexes. Then their findings they published in the form of a book with real life incidents. For people who are going to get married, I feel this is an awesome gift.

Many people will feel some of the points are politically incorrect in this book, but we have to understand they wrote this book after studying the human behavior in a scientific manner. They have provided lots of life situations which normally happens in our day today life. So the person reading this book can easily relate his/her life with the book.

What we have to understand is there is a difference in the behavior of both the sexes. We all know the evolution of human beings from primates. A arboreal animal later entering into a modern social life. When they started living in the caves the duties between men and women were divided. Men used to go for hunting and they were the breadwinners. So they were more alert and protective. Accordingly men developed more skills like hunting, attack etc. Women used to nurture their kids in the cave. So she became a multi tasker in due course of time. She will cook, look after her kids and protect kids from other animals by preventing them entering into the caves. Even she developed more socializing skills as she has to interact with the neighbors. Accordingly the brain development also showed difference. Women has more connections between the two sides of the brain compared to men. The hormones produced are also different. 

We all know our body is under neural and hormonal control. So the influence of androgens and estrogens also play a major role in the behavior.

A female cannot judge a male and cannot ask him to behave like the way she does. Same is applicable to male also. Once we understand this difference, our life will become more smooth.  

We always wonder why there are small clashes happening between partners. Why again and again they have to tell sorry to each other?. 

The answer to all these question are same - We are lacking in understanding the behavior of opposite sex. 

This book gives a perfect insight in understanding the behavior of both the sexes. It is a simple book with few simple scientific explanations. After reading this book, I feel you will never say sorry again because such a situation will never come again in your life.
